Since years LASE PeCo Systemtechnik GmbH develops and delivers laser‑based counting systems that help municipalities and public‑space managers understand how people and vehicles move. Our flagship product is the LC 3.0 PRO, a high‑resolution LiDAR sensor designed for outdoor counting and classification. It collects 3D point clouds to anonymously count and classify road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and motorised vehicles while measuring direction, speed and dwell times.
Thanks to multi‑layer scanning, the LC 3.0 PRO provides highly accurate measurements (up to 98 % accuracy) even in challenging weather and lighting conditions.
Our latest LiDAR sensor uses 3D point clouds to count road users irrespective of direction, classify them into different categories (e.g., pedestrians, cyclists, motorised vehicles) and determine their speeds. The sensor supports multiple counting lines per device and records dwell times.
Data is transmitted to the LASE PeCo cloud in real-time for analysis, enabling dashboards and reports tailored to municipal needs.
The LC 3.0 PRO’s multi‑layer scanning technology is eye‑safe (laser class 1), operates from –40 °C to +60 °C and is insensitive to sun and rain. It can be mounted up to 20 m high and monitors widths up to 40 m (PeCo LC 3.0 PRO MAX), making it ideal for parks, pedestrian zones, roads, intersections, parking spaces, event venues and other public spaces.
Counting is anonymous and compliant with data‑protection regulations. No images are recorded; instead, the LiDAR sensor captures distance points, ensuring the personal privacy of visitors and residents.
Visual dashboards and reports
Our web‑based cloud platform provides real‑time dashboards and historical analyses of visitor frequencies, classification (pedestrians versus cyclists versus vehicles), conversion/turn‑in rates and dwell times. Municipalities can use the insights to optimise mobility planning, design safer crossings, monitor event occupancy and evaluate initiatives.
Integration & support
Our team assists with planning, installation and maintenance. We integrate sensors into existing infrastructure and provide training. For that reason city departments, traffic and transport authorities and property owners can use the data effectively.
LASE PeCo has been measuring visitor frequencies for more than 20 years.
The company is an independent sister company of LASE Industrielle Lasertechnik GmbH and specializes in laser measurement technologies for counting and analytics.
We serve cities across Europe and beyond. Our solutions are deployed in shopping streets, parks, intersections, museums, airports and traffic corridors, helping authorities regulate access, improve traffic flow and create livable communities.
