studio poēsís – Sensory & Art-Integrated Design for Healthcare Environments

studio poēsís is a Danish design studio specialized in crafting health- and site-specific sensory rooms for the healthcare sector. The studio has very successful experience with delivery rooms, but the solution is also applicable in other areas of the health sector where sensorial stimuli are important for rehabilitation. We are looking for collaboration partners, leads in EU birthing units, distributors and organisations interested in crafting sensorial spaces.

We are a highly specialized design studio helping health professionals release the immediate potential bridging arts and health. The studio has 10 years’ experience in Advanced Healthcare Design, crafting sensorial experiences for patients, relatives, and staff - and our work is described in international journals in the field of scientific fields of healthcare, architecture, and art. Our exclusive solution is described as exemplary in the International Journal: ‘Buildings, and our methods allow health professionals collaborate with professional artists crafting high quality sensorial interior solution to patients with special needs.

We specialize in crafting high-end health- and site-specific sensory rooms for healthcare sector. The studio has worked with several well-known delivery rooms in Denmark, but we also work with other domains where existential, psychological, and sensorial stimuli has importance for treatment, care, or rehabilitation. Among others we are currently working with special units in intensive units, palliative treatment, patient rooms with delirium, sleep disorder or more.

Our solutions have been described as the best sensorial delivery rooms in the world, and we believe that our unique research-based methods allow us to help partners bridge the “know-do-gap”, described by WHO and support patients and staff in the health sector.
